The rabbit-hole goes straight on like a tunnel for some ways, and then may dip suddenly down. You may not have a moment to think about stopping yourself, and may find yourself falling down what seems to be a very deep well. But as you go you will find plenty of time to look around, for the tunnels are lined with cupboards and bookshelves, nooks and crannies, and there are links to be found where you least expect them.
